It's my 3rd or 4th time back there and even though it is about 10min from Taupo town, we love being ose to the lake and obviously the company of Bron and Anthony! Great fun HAVING Anthony bring my kids out of the boat and what a catch of 4 trouts which was smoked for our dinner.

Big shout out to Anthony and Bron for having us last weekend. Another great family holiday had by all 14 of us. Hopefully be back early next year. I think we may have your salt and pepper shaker from room 4… sorry!

Loved our stay here. We got one of the cabins right next to the lake. Definitely worth the extra cost! Amazing sunsets over the lake and can walk out the back door onto the beach.

Was super lucky to win a mother's day competition and have the pleasure of staying in one of the lakeside cottages with my mum. The views are stunning, the platter delicious and the hosts were awesome. We will definitely be back to stay again and highly recommend others doing so

I have been going to Waitahanui Lodge since 1977 and every time I stay there it only gets better. The lodge is conveniently located right on the lake and to one of the best fly-fishing streams in the world. The affordable self-contained rooms are in excellent condition and has all the amenities you need for your holiday. In addition, the lodge has a little fishing tackle shop onsite in case you need to hire any gear or purchase some extra tackle. But the best thing about our stay at Waitahanui Lodge was the amazing people who run the lodge, Bron and Anthony. Their hospitality was above and beyond our expectations. The fishing was excellent, and we managed to take home 12 decent sized trout with us. Love this place!
